Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series FanCam is coming to Kinnick Stadium

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Thousands of fans will have a chance to prove they were present at the Cy-Hawk Series football game, Saturday, September 8th, when the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series FanCam comes to Kinnick Stadium.

Fans will need to be in their seats at least 15 minutes prior to kickoff, because at that time an ultra-high-definition, 5 billion pixel 360 degree image will be taken from the 25-yard line.

This high-def image will capture Kinnick Stadium in its entirety, and the image takes between 5-7 minutes to shoot. The image will then appear on www.iowacorncyhawkseries.com <http://www.iowacorncyhawkseries.com> /fancam. Fans will be able to “step inside” the 360 gigapixel image and look around, as if they were standing on the field for a frozen moment of time.

The resolution of five billion pixels is so high that fans will be able to zoom in to find themselves or friends, “tag” themselves in the photo, and share via email, Facebook and Twitter. Fans can even cruise around the stadium to see who else was part of the event.

Fans will have a chance to win a 2012 Flex Fuel Chevy Equinox provided by Iowa Corn. Be sure to click on the “enter to win” link on the left hand side of the site.
