MASON CITY – East State Street Utility and Street Improvements Project Begins Tuesday, September 4th.
The East State Street rehabilitation project is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 4th and extend through November. The project extends from Carolina Avenue east to Illinois Avenue. The project includes utility improvements, pavement patching, pedestrian crossing upgrades, curb and gutter replacement, and a Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay.
The project is expected to begin in the area between Carolina and Kentucky Avenues. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. Please exercise caution when traveling the project route and when possible seek alternate routes
6th Street SW Utility and Street Improvements Project Begins Tuesday, September 4th.
The 6th Street SW rehabilitation project is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 4th and extend through mid-November. The project extends from South Monroe Avenue west to Cheslea Creek, beyond Pierce Avenue. The project includes utility improvements, pavement patching, pedestrian crossing upgrades, curb and gutter replacement, and a Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay.
The project is expected to begin in the general area between Taylor Avenue and South Polk Place. Traffic will be maintained where possible however, there will be periods of interruption where construction activities will force traffic to seek alternate routes. Please exercise caution and allow for delays and interruptions if traveling the project route.
