MASON CITY – A Forest City man has plead guilty to disseminating obscene material to a minor.
Nicholas Robert Taylor, 19, plead guilty on March 6th, 2013 to dissemination of obscene material to a minor. The victim was a 15 year old girl.
Taylor received 9 days in jail and a year of probation, as well as $1,000.00 in court costs and fines. He must also stay on the Iowa sex offender registry for 10 years. He finally appeared on the list Wednesday.
The mother of the victim told NIT she was a former co-worker of Taylor and that she knew him prior to the incident.
“I was in shock and speechless,” at the messages and photos she says Taylor sent her daughter via email and facebook. “I would never had guessed he would go after my daughter like this knowing she was and under age.”
