MASON CITY – Ames High beat Mason City 24-7 Friday night in the season opener for both teams.
Mason City lead early 7-0 but Ames scored the last 24 points.
Mason City plays Clear Lake next Friday night at Mohawk Field. The freshmen game is at 5PM and the varsity game is at 7:30PM.
