MASON CITY – Mason City police arrested a Mason City man in connection with an assault of a “sexual nature” of a female teen.
According to a police report, at about 3:00 pm on July 18th, 2012, a female juvenile, 16 years of age, was inside a local business when she was assaulted in a sexual nature by an adult male that she did not know.
After recieving “numerous calls” from citizens advising on a potential suspect after photos of a suspect were released to the local media, a suspect was identified and arrested at his home.
The suspect in this crime was identified as Paul Wagner, 28, who police say also tried to contact the victim via Facebook about the crime and “intimate” (sp.) her before he was arrested.
Wagner was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail and held on two charges: Assault with intent to commit sexual abuse (an aggravated misdemeanor) and harassment (a simple misdemeanor.)
The Mason City Police Department would like to thank the citizens of Mason City for the information they gave.

I’ve known who this guy is for a long time (since he was a little puke) he’s been a p.o.s. for a long time and that’s probably never gonna change. It kinda sad in two ways. #1 his mom is a very nice lady and deserved a better son. #2 That the charge will be plead out and he won’t see the time he so rightfully deserves which should be at least 15 years and maybe more but I don’t think he’ll ever change. Just sad.

My sister went to school with this SOB. I have always said and I have said to him that he will be in jail for a long time. This is not the first time he has done shit like this and not going to be his last. He did work at subway in the mall and did shit like this when he worked there. He has always put himself on to woman and just keeps doing. Put his ass away for a long time. Sick SOB
So he tried intimidating the teen after his face was made public? Is he that ballsy, or just that stupid??
He will be out on bail just as soon as the judge sees him on Monday and free to do whatever he wants. If he is smart he will leave the state and he will never go to court.

All “discharged” means is he is no longer being held in jail for it. It has not been “dismissed”. Give the County Attorney time to offer a plea bargain for that.
I’m just wondering why the charges don’t involve a minor. It says the girl was a teen. Was she legal age?

Well, if we’re really going to get picky, “grammar” is misspelled. It’s appalling how badly some North Iowans spell and neglect to use punctuation. How did you people get through school? Didn’t anyone teach you proper sentence structure and correct spelling? I’m so glad I had excellent teachers. That, and the fact that I actually paid attention in school.
Whoops — just caught myself in a big mistake. My last sentence is not a complete sentence. It should read “That, and the fact that I actually paid attention in school have both served me well.”
