I know his uncle and he is crazy n abusive to women. We have had a hard time with him leaving threatening messages on the answering machine and breaking no contact order which he has a history of doing. I personally believe and so do others that know his family, that he suffers from a severe mental issue(s) just like some of his family members. This is a great tragedy and I hope the family can work through this and get the help they need, and also the state gets him the psychiatric help he desperately needs.
This was a dispical crime that should have never happened but there is a lot we don’t know. He was living with his grandparents in Manchester. He was arrested in Iowa City on Saturday for driving without a licence. The police in Iowa City called his mother who lives out of state.
So, I conclude, this kid had no father or mother. Who knows what his grandparents did to him but this is not a good situation. Nothing warrents Murder. He has already confessed to drugging them and they died.
This is a sad story, please save the speculation until it all is unfolded.
Why do you assume that his grandparents did anything bad to him? You ask that people withhold speculation, but your comment “who knows what his grandparents did to him” indicates you are speculating that they did something bad to him. Therefore, allow me to also speculate that perhaps there was a good reason for him to live with his grandparents and not with his out-of-state mother. We do not know what situation(s) precipitated his actions. Reading the information printed in the Des Moines Register today leads me to believe this is a very troubled young man since he took pride in what he had done by “tweeting” several friends to brag about his accomplishment. I will also speculate that because he drugged his victims, he is probably very familiar with drugs and their use.
as we all know now from listening to the boys mother, that there was a great deal of pain in this boys life. his mother was unfit and so the grandparents were in charge of raising this boy since he was 3. one of the grandparents was a step grandparent. there was family fighting over (trust?) money. the grandfather abused the boy and told the boy he was going to kill him. the grandparents abused the boy because of the trouble his mother was giving the grandparents. as the mother was out of state the boy took the brunt of the anger twards the mother. unless you have actually lived in this type of situation, you can only ASSume what its like. untill then keep your comments to yourself so you dont look like fools. for which I have done myself in the past.
Send him to Texas, we’ll execute him but it will be more humanely then what his grand parents got!
you people from Texas seem to take great pride in the fact the you have legalized murder there.
If a person takes one’s life they should have theirs taken also. An eye for an eye. I think that maybe half of the crazy shit with kids murdering their families these days is getting out of hand. Need to bring back public hangings. Kids get away with too much these days.
You call it legalized murder, I call it execution. Whether you like it or not, its punishment plain and simple.
We do, but it’s called legal execution, you liberal terd!
when you show no regard for society and its rules, then you should receive punishment equal to or greater then the crime you committed. Texas doesn’t waste any time in making this happen. Why don’t you have this kid come live with you for awhile?
