CLEAR LAKE – At approximately 11:50 a.m. Thursday, a wife reported she had intentionally stabbed her husband in the hand.

The injured man left in a car (pictured) and was eastbound on Highway 122 when it broke down by Kingbird Avenue.

The Cerro Gordo Sheriff Office and Clear Lake Police responded to the call. The stabbing incident occurred in Clear Lake, so the woman was taken back to the Clear Lake Police Department for questioning.

It was said that the 25 year old male had quite a bit of blood loss. He was taken by Mason City Ambulance to Mercy Medical Hospital.

  1. You people are ignorant. These things happen everywhere. This is the world we live in. If you think there aren’t thugs drugs or rapistist in your town…big or small your ignorant. Its been this way since the beggining of time. Quit bitching and live your lives and love your neighbor.

  2. Mason City is 4.5 miles from Mason City… And if yo want to be technical, the Mason City Air port which is a mason city address is only 2 miles from Clear Lake, Don’t judge… In a town of 10 it only takes 1 to make a bad word for that town

  3. What do you mean not safe? It was the man’s own wife, who then turned it in. I’m guessing he did something he shouldn’t have done. I foresee a divorce coming in that relationship.

    1. Sorry to say but they won’t get a divorce because she wouldn’t leave him, how I kno legally she is my sister

      1. I’m sorry hun… I never thought that I could leave my ex either but eventually with the help of my family and my friends I did. The only thing I can tell you is be there for her.

  4. Has everyone lost their minds these days? I would have expected this to happen in large cities, and Mason City. Let’s face it, Mason City is a magnet for thugs, drugs, murderers and rapists…but Clear Lake? Not safe in small towns anymore that’s for sure.
