Fire investigated at Curries Friday night

Around 8:00 pm, Friday, the Mason City Fire Department was dispatched to Curries Manufacturing on 9th Street SE.

It was reported that a fire had started in the dust vents.

A neighbor across the street said, “Before they opened those doors, we could see in the windows that the place was full of smoke.” A receiving door had been opened on the south side of the building and the smell of smoke was still in the air.

No other information was available.
