Just wondering, how is it possible to have small children, in a house that deals drugs, with a broken out picture window only covered by a blanket, be that way for so long and nobody say anything? Is it because they are gang banger transplants from another state and get to do what they want in this town? Feel so bad for the new Mohawk grooming business that opened up right next door.
Matt, I wish you to consider a proposal. Whiners Den is a great place for ideas locally. However, I suggest a new thread should be established for National/Presidential politics. The cut and paste of articles from other news sources takes about charges and counter-charges takes up a lot of space here.

Read this link all of you Alliant supporters…How many of YOU got a 54.7% increase in your pay??? Alliant’s CEO did…to the tune of $5,200,000.00 This info is from 2010, so imagine how much the pay has increased since then!!
Now, how does the current natural gas rate increase sound. Don’t ever think Alliant is on your side. It’s all about the money for the executives. Contact the IUB and the Office of Consumer Advocate and tell them you are tired of paying for Alliant’s financial fiascos and mismanagement!!!

I’m ticked! We’re in a severe drought situation and my neighbors (several) have their automatic lawn sprinklers on every morning. We have no idea how bad this drought is going to be. Shouldn’t we prepare for the worst?
Throwing this out to the parents of teen age girls. How do you feel about this Nightstorm dance that’s going on at the fairgrounds? The radio ad on KLSS says for the girls to get their sexiest outfits on. This is a dance for 15 to 20 year olds. I have a problem with a radio ad that is telling teen age girls to wear sexy clothes and I don’t think it’s appropriate for 20 year olds to be at an unsupervised event with 15 year olds?

Absolutely. Our economy, in part is based upon it. Look at the huge effect it had on the economy in 2008.
The right to own land (note, the term own is a keystone of freedom! A Constitutional right. You cannot own land in North Korea! You can own land in Sierra Leon, but corrupt courts there do not protect your rights at all. Here, your rights are protected by law.
I would wager, (and probably win), that the same passion found in everyday Americans about owning owning property, would also apply to owning a gun. And the comments here on this site profoundly point that out: “the only way you are getting my gun is by prying it from my cold dead fingers”.
Do not think Peter, such a basic Constitutional right will be altered easily or without a fight.
My gripe is the west side of MC. Why there are not 3 lanes instead of 2 is beyond me. It is a joke going from Wal-Mart to Federal. For one thing no one seems to know green means go. And when it comes to a green arrow they are totally lost. I think someone should be at every entrance with instructions on lights and what the colors mean.
This is what I don’t understand, all these people slamming Romney for his connection to BA in then this comes to light.

Ok people here is my bitch for the day. At one apartment in this town. There are 70 apt.s and 34 assigned spots so if you do not have an assigned spot you have to park on the street. no problem. yea right. There is a business across the street. and the employees are using the spots on the street where the apt is to park not leaving any where for the tenants to park if they do not have a spot or for people to park if they are visiting the tenants of the apt complex. I have complained and nothing has been done. Yesterday I went to pick someone up and had to double park in the street as there was no where to sit and wait for them to come out. I know that one of the cars does belong to an employee due to the fact that I have been there when she came out of work. I watched her get in to one of the cars that was right in front of the building that should be for the apartment tenants to park she does not want to park in the lot for employees as it is too far to walk to get in the business. She is young and not handicap so why does she need to take up that spot all the time. I go to this apt 2-3 times aday as I have to take care of the lady that lives there. It is getting to the point that I may have to park in the church parking lot (there is a sign there no parking church only) so where am I to park

I am not what you think sir. I am just an average Joe who studies law, history, sociology, and our Constitution and it’s application.
If God forbid, a member of my family was shot, I would be angry, yes. But I would not sit back and take the system for granted. I would be at hearings, fully prepared.
And yes, I would still believe in supporting the rights of all citizens under the law. Without the Constitution and our laws, this country would not exist as we know it.
4th of July night my wife, {I was working}, took the pontoon to watch the fireworks on Clear Lake. The view from directly below and the reflections off the water make the show awesome. But she made a mistake. She forgot to turn on the white navigation light on top. Had all the lights on the way out, but just forgot to flip the switch the other way after dropping anchor.
Right during the fireworks a DNR officer pulls up and does a full bore, 10 minute inspection. Instead of just being a little bit courteous and asking her to turn it on, we have to go into a whole little power trip. Do I sound vitriolic? You bet. His little $10 ticket has $63.50 in court costs. I know the DNR doesn’t set court cost, but for $73.50, twelve people lost all respect for this type of authority.
And I lay this problem right at the people who are begging for our votes. You keep telling us if elected, you will fix all our problems. You can’t even keep control of the government we have now, let alone expand your role. Thanks to your inability to control the court system, we now have a for profit judicial system.
To the officer who wrote the ticket, you made a real big hit with those ten college kids onboard. Your authority we temporary bestow commands respect, but in a few years they will be in control, as in rolling back unsubstantially government pension plans. And thanks to Facebook, in minutes hundreds knew.
P.S. Clear Lake Camber of Commence. Next spring when you send me a fund raising letter for the fireworks, I’ll mail you copy of the ticket. You fight back with the tools you have, checkbook and a vote.

You got logical rebuttal. Laws are the will of the people, as our government was designed around. You have two options, repeal the law (which you do not have the votes to do), or continue to violate the law, and suffer the consequences.
Well there is a third option. Take over some banana republic, give away free land, build spaceship homes, and set about building your utopia with free drugs for all.
Basically by going to your new web site, that is exactly what you are doing. You do not like the voice of the majority, so you are taking your game elsewhere.
As Lincoln replied to Judge Douglas in a speech, you cannot have it both ways. He says he is for freedom, yet he restricts the freedom for a whole segment. He says he supports the ideal of the Founders, yet refuses to allow all men to have the same rights.
Peter, you want everyone else to accept your ideals, unproven as they are, and yet desire all the rights and everything that goes along with a structured society. You want to restrict the rights of land owners, yet say you believe in Libertarianism. Again, you cannot have it both ways. Back to quoting Lincoln, I do not expect the house to fall, I do expect it to be all one thing or the other.
