At the budget hearing, County Engineer Mary Kelly described the poor condition of a salt storage building in Clear Lake. The salt stored there is used on roads in the western areas of Cerro Gordo county. Two options to solve the problem are two repair the building or build a new building at a new location, just north of Highway 122 and east of I-35. “We have money in the budget to look at this,” Jay Urdahl told NorthIowaToday.com.
