MASON CITY – The Mason City Public Library Youth Services Department had a free Halloween Bash, Thursday night, for children of all ages.
The event was held in the Mason City Room from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. They had stories, crafts, games, snacks, prizes and more. There were many teen volunteers that helped read stories, make magic color Halloween ornaments, serve monster hands, and help with the pumpkin ring toss. There was a table with a jar of candy corn and the children had to guess how many candies they believed were in that jar.
The children showed up in all kinds of costumes. A few were adorable Samarah in a pirates costume, Ira in a Ninja outfit, ready to fight anyone who tried to take his candy and a couple of bony little guys dressed as skeletons.
Host employees of the Mason City Public Library that put this fun event together for the children were Kellie, Calista, Jody and volunteer Taylor.
It was sponsored by Community Quick Print.
