During the Feature, Wise was able to make his way up to eighth position when his tire was sliced and he was forced off the track to get it fixed. Steve Gauley, mechanic for the Porter Team, “I saw JJ Wise’s dad run to the trailer to get another tire, it looked like he could use some help, so I went over to assist him.”

“We had to go back on the track in last position, but we still finished tenth,” Wise said with a smile. “It’s okay, we’re still high on the points list.” Wise did add that when a tire is slashed, it is really hard to keep air in it.
