North Iowa Area Community College and ABATE of Iowa, Inc. will offer Motorcycle Rider Education for those who ride or plan to ride a motorcycle.
Participants will learn to ride safely in this Motorcycle Safety Foundation approved course. Motorcycle classes will be conducted in Hampton on June 17 ñ 19. Class will be in session at 6 p.m. on Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday. The tuition is $150.
Motorcycle Rider Education highlights the basic skills of riding such as riding in a straight line, turning, shifting and stopping. Anyone may take the course to learn, refresh or improve safe riding skills. The licensing skills test may be waived upon successful completion of the course. Iowa law requires any person under the age of 18 who wants a Class M license ñ valid for the operation of a motorcycle ñ to successfully complete a Motorcycle Rider Education course before the license will be issued.
