On May 30th, 2011 at about 1:04 p.m., Mason City Ploice Officers responded to a collision involving a single vehicle that struck a light pole in the 200 block of North Washington Avenue.
During the course of the investigation, officers arrested the driver, LeBreeze Omar Lowery, age 21, of Mason City for OWI second offense, driving while barred, no insurance, and failure to control. He was also issued a warning citation for texting while while driving.
The passenger, Haley Mikel Karsjens, age 18, of Rockwell, was cited for minor consumption of and allowing an unauthorized person to drive motor vehicle.
Lowery was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail and Karsjens was released on her own promise to appear. Assisting at the scene was the Mason City Fire Department.|
