Convicted domestic abuser curses Beje Clark half way house: “They push you to fail”

MASON CITY – A convicted domestic abuser who was sent to Beje Clark is cursing the halfway house – saying “they push you to fail” – even as he sits in jail waiting a bed there.

Last July, 38-year-old Jeremy Jason Noah was arrested in Cerro Gordo county for yet another domestic abuse assault – at least his third. Cerro Gordo deputies were called to the area of Thrush Avenue and 130th Street that evening to investigate the assault incident. Upon arrival and investigation, Noah was arrested for Felony Domestic Abuse Assault, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense, Driving While Revoked, No Insurance, and Operating without Interlock Device. Later, all the charges were dropped in a plea deal except a lesser charge of second offense domestic abuse assault.

As he then proceeded to violate the protective order with the victim at least five times – guilty on each count – Noah was put in the Beje Clark halfway house, known about town as a revolving door for crooks and magnet for wrong-doers from all over the North Iowa area who frequently run away, re-offend and generally walk the town to and from their low-wage-paying jobs.

Last week, Noah was thrown in jail, accused of violating his probation in the domestic abuse case. Apparently seeing his incarceration coming, he wrote via social media “Beje Clark supposed to help you back into society that is the biggest crock of (human excrement) I have ever heard all they want is for you to fail actually they push you to fail (intercourse) everyone!!!!!!!!!!”

Prior to his slip-up with probation, Noah sought “donations” to move on with his life.

“Looking for free donations to furnish a small apt if you know of anything that anyone is throwing or just wanting to get rid of let me know,” he wrote.

Noah remains jailed as he awaits a March 2 court date.

I worked with this guy. Which of his girlfriends did he beat up? He bragged that he had a few girls and one night was worried they would show up at the same time. He lied to all of them and it really pissed me off. There was one I met and I was going to tell her the next time I saw her, but since he is in jail, I hope she sees it here. If you are a woman and he comes on to you, run away, he will cheat on you and lie to your face about it and brag about it behind your back. Other people that know him, they said he cheated on girls that he was cheating with since high school. He is a total loser and douchebag and jail is probably the best place for him. I think lying to girls like that should be a crime. It would be as bad as getting a black eye and that is a crime.

Beje is NOT there to provide help for the residents, it is a half-way house to help those who need the structure and rules to attempt to be able to live outside in the community. Honestly, most are ex-cons who use it to get out of prison sooner. Anyone who cannot follow the rules SHOULD have the original punishment reinstated. Mr Noah has himself to point his finger at and call a failure because that is where the blame lies. How could he continually ignore a restraining order then blame Beje Clark????

Does the system fail the offender or does the offender fail the system ?? I will say this if the real BG Clark, whom this place is named for has to be rolling in her grave ! She was all for restorative justice. I think the answer to my question is a bit of both. Bibically speaking, you cannot turn a pigs ear into a silk purse. There are those who will be motivated to change.. and those who are not. The comments posted all reveal parts of the truth. But from the cook to the RA’s to the Exec Director– they need a wake up call. And the conditions are not what they should be for any type of Rehab to take place. As far as this guy Noah…a career criminal usually does not want help.. just wants to complain…

Real simple, don’t do anything wrong and don’t beat on women and you won’t have to worry about it. A tool is all Beje is, some tools are easy to use some are hard to use. Motivated people want to make that to work for them lazy people, well you get the idea.

Your momma pushed you to fail. All you troubled dirt bags always want to blame someone for you being stupid.

You can complain about the criminals all you want, but this guy’s mom was dead long before he got in trouble, so don’t drag their moms through the mud until you know all the truth

Bg. Another waste of taxpayer dollars!

@Bodacious-N.I.T. is correct. I had several B.G. residents work for me and had to go there many times to sign them out. They all behave real well while on work release, but as soon as they get out they regress right back to what put them in there. Not all certainly, but a lot of them. They bring them in from all over and when they get out they stay here and run drugs for the most part.

I understand that some, probably more than I care to believe, do become repeat or recurring offenders, but if Beje Clark was more concerned with rehabilitation than punishment, they might find the number of repeaters decreases. This man broke the law, and not only man’s law, and should be punished for it. Whether that is jail, a half-way house, probation, or a fine, is up to the justice system. But if that system doesn’t help to fix the problem, then it is not a good system. Did you ever wonder why this person or that person is in trouble with the law? Maybe a lot of work on fixing whatever brought him or her to commit a crime would bring better results. Some won’t take advantage of that, some will. You know that not every employee you supervised was going to make it. But some, with training and a willingness to change, will do well. That is a victory. Expecting that everyone who goes in there will just be reformed is idealistic. Have you ever asked about the successes of places like Beje? Scoff at that but I believe that any success is a benefit to society.

@Bodacious-I agree with you on rehabilitration. What we are doing now obviously doesn’t work. The problem is the deck is stacked against them. They have problems finding a decent job and in some cases a decent place to live. The system is set up for punishment and fines for revenue to pay for worthless judges who support the revolving door to keep their income coming. Meanwhile we keep paying for something that doesn’t work.
