MASON CITY – A man facing a riot charge among others was stopped and arrested on Interstate 35 early Saturday morning.
A Cerro Gordo deputy conducted a traffic stop Saturday just before 1 AM on Interstate 35 near mile marker 180. The deputy discovered the driver, 22-year-old Valentine John Flores of Mason City, was wanted for parole violations in connection to a marijuana dealing conviction for which he served time last year in an Iowa prison. Flores was also wanted on charges of riot, from an incident earlier this month in downtown Mason City, as well as interference with official acts.
Flores was arrested and taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail, where he is being held on no bond as he awaits a court date.

Damn shame-he had a future and threw it away for the drug scene. Now he is just like his old man, a criiminal.
