Man who burglarized Mason City business skips sentencing, is finally caught in Des Moines

MASON CITY – Iowa law enforcement caught up with a wanted man who was caught burglarizing a Mason City business last year.

Hussein Jammal Muwonge, age 27, was charged with felony C third degree burglary for breaking into Charlie’s Auto at 818 South Federal Avenue. Muwonge was apprehended by Mason City police on the early morning of March 16 at about 2:16 AM at the scene of the crime. He pled guilty on September 15, 2014 and was set to be sentenced on December 15 but never appeared in court.

This week, Iowa law enforcement caught Muwonge in the Des Moines area and took him to jail. He was then transported to Mason City.

Muwonge will be sentenced on February 9. He faces a maximum prison term not to exceed 5 years and a fine of at least $750 but no more than $7,500.

What difference does this make. The judge will let him out in six months or so and he will never pay the fine. We will see him back in court again in a year or so.

Unless somebody shoots him…center mass..

He might do some time, but he’ll never pay the fine.. Hands up, lets loot…
