MASON CITY – A Mason City woman was arrested for drunk driving and interference with an officer while a passenger had an open container of booze as they drove around town early Friday.
Stacey Ann Pietig, age 19, was pulled over by law enforcement Friday just before 1:00 AM near the 2000 block of 12th Street NE. The investigating officer determined that Pietig was intoxicated and during the stop, she attempted to interfere with the process. She was charged with first offense operating while intoxicated, interference with official acts and unsafe approach vehicles. An un-named passenger in the car was arrested for an open container of alcohol.
Pietig was booked into jail and later released pending a court date.

Unbelievable that this girl has her license back and is on the road again. I don’t understand the judicial system. She gets a dui, resists arrest, and a slap on the wrist. What happens next time when she kills someone or herself?

It’s rather humerus how people come out of the woodwork to say “c’mon, you’re better than this”, when they really mean “c’mon, you’re prettier than this.” If she were a snaggletooth, would people care as much? (Part of my continuing commentary on the privileges and benefits of being pretty in American society) 🙂
Btw, don’t think I’ve forgotten how cruel and sadistic the gods can be as they mete out ‘pretty’ and ‘homely’ humans selectively for their enjoyment. Born looking like Nicole Kidman, and you live an extravagant, wealthy movie star / model life. Born looking like Oprah Winfrey and America’s collective white guilt may make you a wealthy extravagant life anyway just to offset the God’s sick game. Look like a homely Iowa woman, and u better damn well behave!
