MASON CITY – A North End Mason City man was nabbed by police with drugs and a dangerous weapon early Wednesday.
According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, Alberto Salazar Ramon, 45, was riding a bicycle near the 1400 block of North Washington Ave. when police spotted him with no rear red light/reflector.
Ramon was arrested by a sheriff’s deputy for carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of controlled substance (marijuana 3rd offense), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sheriff Kevin Pals said Wednesday that Ramon was carrying a stun gun.
Ramon is a convicted felon and has been charged with crimes ranging from domestic assault, tampering with witnesses, interference with official acts, and more.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
When is it when something happens in other parts of town they aren’t described as “South End Man”???

@Thinker-you are correct. The South End has more thefts and sex offenders than the North Enders by far. And, don’t get me started on the center of town. A great deal of the crimes happen down town but on the north side of down town.
