HOUSTON, TX — U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) released the following statement on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) decision to exempt staff members from Obamacare exchanges:

“Sen. Reid’s decision to exempt his staff from Obamacare exchanges is the clearest example yet of Obamacare’s failures and Washington hypocrisy. His staff worked to pass it and continue to promote it, now they don’t want to be part of it because it’s a disaster. No one wants to lose their plans, pay higher premiums, higher deductibles, and have healthcare choices taken away from them. But, by passing Obamacare that’s exactly what Leader Reid and his staff did to millions of Americans. Now they understandably don’t want to live with it. The only fair path forward is to repeal Obamacare, in its in entirety, for everyone.”

Reid is a miserable excuse for a senator and should be run out of the country. he has done more to destroy our country than anyone else other than Obama. Both are traitors that stomp all over the constitution.

If their existing plan was ok there would have been no need to even bring the subject up so I would guess It could not meet the extreme qualifications of Obama care so this is why he exempted them. Reed is antique weasel so out of touch with reality he needs a brain enema.

they are already insured by an employee provided insurance. They were not exempted. Just like 85% of Americans weren’t exempted because of the employer provides it. Cruz is telling half truths here.

@ DR Dunn, I think you meant to say employer provided insurance and not employee. That may be in part true as well. But the crap will hit the fan next year when the employer mandates hit, you, me and everyone else on an employer plan will take huge hits on our costs next year. I would say that is about the time that you start to start complaining. I would bet congress will still exempt themselves from the thing and that is not constitutional. (Congress should make not law…) Does that sound familiar to you?

@John-I guess I would have to ask who their employer is? Does that really matter.. All kinds of company’s across the country are doing away with their employer insurance and forcing their employees to go on Obamacare. I know all three of my children who live in different states have lost their company insurance. On another note, I have heard it said on here that the Republicans do not have another plan and that is just more liberal rhetoric. There are six republican plans out there and Obama and company refuse to even discuss them. One senator from Tennessee has sent letters to the White House and even went there in person but has been ignored. Of course the liberals will try to deny this but they will only be lying as usual.

where is the proof of these plans. Last you posted about them there were 7.

Annie, the U.S. is full of sheeple. The Muslim world has said that they will destroy the U.S. economically, and it has already started, behind closed doors in the white house.

I agree fully, Sen. Cruz. Starting with the President on down, when the cook doesn’t want what they pushed out of the kitchen, that’s your first clue of what we are getting. It’s against the Constitution. Doesn’t the Constitution stand for or mean anything now? There should be rioting in the streets over this. The Americans will not wake up unless it hits them in the pocketbook. Well it’s about to start. Jan. 1st 2014
