Iowans now have access to new, affordable health care options through the Iowa Health Insurance Marketplace.
The Iowa Marketplace is a tool for consumers who need more affordable health insurance or don’t have insurance at all. It allows Iowans to research different health care plans, find out if they qualify for tax credits to purchase health insurance, or buy private health insurance if they need it. It’s also open to small business owners.
Iowa’s Marketplace does not change anything for Iowans who already have health care through their employer, Medicare, Medicaid, or Hawk-I. While enrollment is now open, all private health care plans available on Iowa’s Marketplace begin January 1, 2014.

Iowa’s Insurance Commissioner Nick Gerhart, who is coordinating the effort in Iowa, recommends Iowans compare and understand the coverage options within each plan. He also suggests Iowans research if their doctor(s) is part of the network in the insurance plans under consideration and make sure the plan covers certain prescription drugs if they are needed for ongoing treatment.

I forgot to mention that my son who has been with his company 35 years and my son who has been with his company ten years have lost their company insurance that they have had since they started with their company’s years ago. My daughter who has been with her company for 30 years has been told she is losing her as well. They all live in different states. All now have larger premiums, higher co-pays and higher deductible’s for a lot more money. They lose and the people who do not work win. Obama is nothing but a damn communist. He has one goal and only one goal as a progressive and that is to spread the wealth and ruin our once great country. It is one of the reasons he will not negotiate o the shut down. He doesn’t care.
There is nothing affordable at all about this socialist plan. It is nothing more than spreading income down to people who do not want to work. i went on line and put in 70K, 60K, 30K and 20K incomes and guess what I found. A huge, huge difference in cost between the top and the bottom for exactly the same coverage. Do not be SHEEPLE and quit following the lies you are being told. Go on line and look for yourself. A person making 70K will pay 15K for the same kealth insurance it cost 2K a year for the 20K folks. Wake up before it is to late.
So if you couldn’t afford healthcare before, now compassionate dems like steckman are forcing you to buy it at highly inflated prices. And if you don’t, they will fine you.
