Calvin Floyd Armstrong, Jr. was born March 13, 1978, in Algona, Iowa, the son of Calvin, Sr. and Vila (Christopher) Armstrong. He grew up in Algona and where he also attended school and graduated from the Algona High School in 1997. After his schooling Calvin worked several jobs in the Algona area.
Calvin enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his children and step-children, racing, collecting baseball cards, watching wrestling and watching football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles.
Calvin died Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, Minnesota.
He is survived by his children, Private Zackary Asche, Zoey Asche and Zander Armstrong; siblings, JoAnne Armstrong and Terry Moore both of Akron. Also surviving is an aunt, Deb (Kevin) McDermott; uncle, Larry (Julie) Armstrong; niece, Ashley (Nate) Rodriguez and a great-nephew, Steven Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Vila Armstrong; sibling, Kevin Armstrong, Steve Moore and Jim Moore; maternal and paternal grandparents and many other relatives.
