MASON CITY – A Mason City man was arrested last week on a charge of lascivious acts with a child.
According to Mason City police, it was alleged by two teenage females that 27 year-old Michael William Groh fondled or inappropriately touched them in mid-July, 2013. The case was investigated and police applied for an arrest warrant for Groh. He was arrested at his home on September 27th at about noon.
Groh now faces two felony (C) charges of lascivious acts with a child.
Groh posted a $2,000.00 bond on October 2nd and was released from jail. He has plead not guilty.
A written arraignment was submitted on October 4th by Groh’s attorney, Joel Yunek. A jury trial was set for November 11th. A pre-trial conference is set for November 1st.

Yet he didn’t even get arrested until September 27th and was out the following Wednesday. Just thought I would throw that out there.

It seems to me that you are guilty until proven innocent with all the negative press going on around here. Don’t know if he is innocent or guilty, but I do know that the only thing worse than a child molester is to be falsely accused of it. Let’s hold judgement and let our system work.
as police departments and mayors have taught us. innocent until proven guilty is only in a court of law. THEYRE NOT IN COURT YET. get it straight
Its worse to be innocent, found guilty and having to serve the sentence the law and society imposes upon you,
The victims stories dont add up. Besides that it would be best for them to come forward and be honest rather than dragging it out any further.

Never whined about Mr. Blodgett’s post at the Globe, but did point it out to them. They do allow hate speech there, was the point of me pointing it out. The comments might still be there if I hadn’t said anything.

Might want to check the story again, Iowa Courts online record source lists two counts. One for each teenage he has been linked to thus far.
