MASON CITY – Sources have confirmed today that a man has died after an accident at the Union Pacific Railroad in Mason City early Tuesday morning.
Mason City emergency responders were called to the 1600 block of North Quincy Avenue and arrived at that location at 2:36 AM.
Sources have told NIT today that a man, who will remain unnamed pending notification of family, had died at the scene after being “coupled between two cars.”
It was said the man had a wife and children but his hometown was not mentioned.
Mason City emergency responders finally left the scene at 4:24 AM.
A call to the Mason City Union Pacific office was not answered.
No further information was available.

This man’s family is hurting and so are many of his friends and co workers! God forbid anything happen to you or anyone you care about and you would have some jackass making rude comments!!
