For now, I have two important messages for the American people, and one for the world community.
First, for those Americans who are fully vaccinated against severe COVID illness – fortunately, for the vast majority of our adults — the best way to strengthen your protection is to get a booster shot, as soon as you are eligible. Boosters are approved for all adults over 18, six months past their vaccination and are available at 80,000 locations coast-to-coast. They are safe, free, and convenient. Get your booster shot now, so you can have this additional protection during the holiday season.
Second, for those not yet fully vaccinated: get vaccinated today. This includes both children and adults. America is leading the world in vaccinating children ages 5-11, and has been vaccinating teens for many months now – but we need more Americans in all age groups to get this life-saving protection. If you have not gotten vaccinated, or have not taken your children to get vaccinated, now is the time.
Finally, for the world community: the news about this new variant should make clearer than ever why this pandemic will not end until we have global vaccinations. The United States has already donated more vaccines to other countries than every other country combined. It is time for other countries to match America’s speed and generosity.
In addition, I call on the nations gathering next week for the World Trade Organization ministerial meeting to meet the U.S. challenge to waive intellectual property protections for COVID vaccines, so these vaccines can be manufactured globally. I endorsed this position in April; this news today reiterates the importance of moving on this quickly.

Lots and Lots of people are dying cause they dont social distance or wear a mask. go to the grocery store or even as early as yesterday, the black friday sales. 99 . 9% of the crownd didnt have a mask on, they are going by the MYTH, if i get the vaccine, I wont get it. The vaccine doesnt stop you from getting covid, it is suppose to make it a lighter dose. The old saying goes, You Can Fix Stupid.
Masks are basically completely useless in preventing transmission of the coronavirus. Studies have shown 5% efficacy at best of mask wearing in preventing spread.

Vaccines don’t fair much better. You can still get COVID if vaccinated. You can still spread COVID if vaccinated. You can still die from COVID if vaccinated. You can get a 3rd and 4th booster, but all the same rules still apply. You get get an irreversible condition which enlarges your heart and severely lowers your life expectancy from the vaccine. But ya, go ahead and get your booster every 3 months. It’s science.
The problem is just going to get worse. Two days before Thanksgiving a co-worker was talking to a nursing home worker who was saying he got sent home for testing positive- as he walked around maskless in our grocery store.
We need to start caring for everyone around us. DON’T walk around maskless if you are sick, stay home if you’ve tested positive for COVID. Stores will deliver to your porch or door. Pay over the phone or online, stop infecting others with your illnesses!
The 4th wave is here. If it’s in Hong Kong then it’s well on it’s way. More like a matter of days, even hours, before it’s detected here. 32 mutations and was first detected in 4 Botswana who were all fully vaxed. Masks, social distancing, lockdowns. The resistant strain that will reshuffle the deck. No need to mention the crippling inflation coming in 2022 and beyond. Tragedy.
I haven’t heard a thing about the United States working on a shot for these variants of COVED. We now know that we don’t have a vaccine because it isn’t working, more people died this year than in all of 2020. Yet Biden said he was going to end this virus. The numbers of vaccinated people dying are increasing by the day. This will be forever like a flu shot, they can keep guessing what strain will be next, but we will probably never have a vaccine. I have not heard of one change to the shots that improve odds against the Delta or this new one out of south Africa.
