Mason City police gain lead in racial vandalism case

MASON CITY – On June 3 and June 4, 2020, racial slurs were painted on four local businesses in downtown Mason City. The four locations vandalized include:

– Brick Furniture, 107 N Federal Ave
– Heiny McManigal Duffy Stambaugh & Anderson Law Firm, 11 4th St NE
– LaJames College of Hairstyling, 24 2nd St NE
– Control Print, 524 N Federal Ave

Additional follow-up by members of the Mason City Police Department today resulted in the recovery of video footage of one of the incidents. We are releasing these still photos and asking our community to assist us in identifying the suspect. He was wearing a black t-shirt with print on it and khaki-like shorts.

Anyone with information about these cases or the suspect’s identity should contact MCPD Criminal Investigation Division Lieutenant Rich Jensen at 641-421-3636.

Information can also be shared through CrimeStoppers of North Central Iowa by calling 800- 383-0088 or by reaching out to them on their Facebook page.

It was good ole boy Al Gore’s dad that was against civil rights for blacks and the democrat party as a whole. Bill and Hillary waving the confederate flag as he was running for governor of Arkansas. Look it up if you can read

BM matters …. that is bowel movements matter

Most democrats should be labeled terrorists. The party of the KKK and ANTIFA .

What were the slurs? That would be helpful to know, I would think.

Is there a difference in racial slurs, meaning, is one good or is one bad.

Trump should be labeled a terrorist

it’s not riot now. it’s civil unrest

That could be considered domestic terrorism, book-em Danno, to the fullest extent!

But rioters can’t be. How messed up is that?
Let’s add to the list, Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and Social Justice Warriors. All have members that have done far worse, but you don’t call for them to be marked as domestic terrorists.
Hypocritical, aren’t you.

I’ll agree that there are a white nationalist groups, and they SHOULD be on the list.
In 2011 the FBI added the Juggalos to the FBI’s 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment report.
They said they were dangerous. As I said before, what about Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and Social Justice Warriors?

The white nationalist groups you talk about, are already on a lot of law enforcement lists.

the young republicans?

The President calls for them to be labeled terrorist organizations.

Hey Einstein, nice twist, the article isn’t talking about all the other radical violent groups. It’s talking about some dumbass trying to cause trouble here old river city. So take your “Hypocritical” and shove it up your ass!!!!

Evidently, I am an Einstein compared to you. My comment that you are commenting on, is asking why someone says,”That could be considered domestic terrorism, book-em Danno, to the fullest extent!”. This for graffiti, when you have much worse out there (the violence and destruction by Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and Social Justice Warriors terrorist groups) that aren’t called terrorist groups by the government.

I am quite sure that the poster of the comment, “That could be considered domestic terrorism, book-em Danno, to the fullest extent!” doesn’t feel that these groups should be treated as terrorist groups, either.

Basic reading comprehension, and not trying to “just be offended” goes a long ways. I realized, that your uneducated ass has to do things by feelings, because your a liberal.

Some day, you might grow up and become an adult. That means taking responsibility for your own actions, and holding others accountable for theirs. It means dealing with facts, not feelings.

Every act of violence has a starting point, it doesn’t instantly appear. Mason City has been pretty peaceful. When you spray paint racial slurs on buildings in a peaceful town, it has the possibility to cause people to become pissed off, which in turn can lead to violence. If this guy is prosecuted to the fullest extent, it could possibly prevent others from doing it. I’ve lived in this town all my life, and I don’t like the fact that pieces of shit like this guy has the ability to cause racial violence here. If you think that it is OK for him to do this, no matter how small you think the act is, your no better then he is!!!

I never said I was okay with what they did.
I am pointing out the double standard/hypocrisy of what was said, “That could be considered domestic terrorism,” and glossing the rioting going on by the “peaceful protesters”.

So, from what you keep on about, it is okay to loot and burn places(commit terrorist acts) and not be listed as a terrorist. But spray painting some inflammatory words, should get you on the list, because that is what you are saying.

like I said above, “Hypocritical, aren’t you.”.

Who are they? the article says “the suspect”. You’re involved with this aren’t you.
