MASON CITY – Playground equipment and shelter houses at all Mason City Parks are reopened for public usage, the City announced today. City staff is in the process of opening park facilities.

Caution is still required due to the COVID-19 pandemic and safety warning signage is placed around the parks and at playground areas as a reminder. The park equipment is not sanitized and patrons use the playground and other park facilities at your own risk.

While visiting any public space, use your best judgment and act responsibly.

  • Adhere to the recommended guidelines of observing social distancing standards of staying at least 6 feet from others
  • If you or a family member does not feel well or have been sick, please stay home Wash your hands with soap and water after activity

Residents are asked to do their part to keep family, friends, neighbors and our community safe. Continue to enjoy our City parks and trails for recreational purposes – the City’s priority is protecting the health and safety of our residents and continuing to serve you.
