Minnesota lottery winner caught after chase on Interstate 35

RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Minnesota man was chased down on the Interstate in Cerro Gordo county Friday night after he refused to stop for police.

On Friday evening, November 3 at about 10:26 PM, law enforcement engaged in a pursuit on Interstate 35 near the 189 mile marker in Cerro Gordo county; this included the Iowa State Patrol and Cerro Gordo deputies. Eventually, the driver was stopped. After an investigation, the driver, 33-year-old Cleophus Lee McEwen of Robbinsdale, Minnesota, was arrested on charges of eluding, possession of a controlled substance and interference with official acts.

McEwen was then taken to the Cerro Gordo county jail, where he remains held on bond, awaiting a hearing set for November 14.

Minnesota lottery records show that Cleophus McEwen Jr., less than a year ago, won a “Big Money” $50,000 lottery prize.

Mcewen, Cleophus Lee

a lot of times when this sort of people “wins the lottery” they didnt actually buy the winning $50,000 price ticket in the store for $1, but in a back alley for $60,000 of d-money. classic money laundering.

Well if he stopped at Diamond Joe’s casino first he was broke at the time he was arrested.

We need more minorities in charge as Chicago/Cleveland/Detroit – Past Kenyon president Obummmer – ETC ETC. All these towns doing well in their busing project with the chamber of commerce ice skaters in Mason city/Charles City. Unbelievable scheme.

It’s the cops fault. Don’t they know the brothers don’t have to stop for those flashing red lights?

Really, give the guy a break and he blows it. Like all the mayhem going on in football now with cheap shots and all. The NFL has turned into getto ball. Poor bastards are reaping what they sow.
