Seminar on gifting and farm estate planning trends scheduled in Charles City

CHARLES CITY – The Floyd County Community Foundation will hold its annual professional advisor luncheon on January 14, 2016 at The Pub in Charles City. The featured speaker this year will be Melissa O’Rourke, Attorney and Farm / Agribusiness Management Specialist from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Ms. O’Rourke’s program will focus on gifting, tax exemption inflation, estate and transition planning, and socio-economic and demographic trends in northern rural Iowa. This seminar is open to any professional advisor who works with farm clients, and includes attorneys, CPA’s, financial planners, bank trust officers, and insurance agents.

The seminar will begin at 11:45 AM on Thursday, January 14, 2016 and will be completed by 1:00 PM. A complimentary lunch will be available. This program has been approved for CLE Credit for attorneys, and is pending approval for CE credit for Certified Financial Planners. They get a GIFT every month -It is called a farm subsidy from the had working American taxpayers – Iowa 5 billion per year – think any politicians own farm land ???? DUH!
