Charles City man accused of domestic violence arrested for violating protective order twice

CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was jailed after he had too much to drink and and got too close to his alleged victim of domestic abuse.

On the afternoon of December 12, Charles City police were called to the 100 block of 7th Avenue for a report of a no-contact order violation. After an investigation, a wanted man, 29-year-old Dean Naeve was arrested. He was wanted on warrants connected to charges of domestic abuse assault, violating a protective order, and public intoxication. As a result of the incident on December 12, Naeve faces new charges of public intoxication and violating a protective order.

Naive was taken to the county jail, where he remains held. He was appointed a public defender and faces a contempt of court hearing on the morning of December 23.
