IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa women’s basketball team earned a 2-seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament and will host 15-seed Fairleigh Dickinson University on Saturday, March 21.
Iowa City will also welcome 7-seed Georgia along with 10-seeds Arizona State and Virgina who will play a First Four game on Thursdat, March 18.
For the second year in a row, a record-tying 12 Big Ten Conference schools received berths into the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship, the NCAA announced Sunday night. Iowa will play host to the first and second rounds for the fourth time in the last five years. The Hawkeyes, who gained entry into their 32nd NCAA Tournament, secured the No. 2 seed in the Sacramento 4 Region. Iowa will host No. 15 seed Fairleigh Dickinson in the first round Saturday.
