THORNTON – Possible shots were fired in a North Iowa campground over the weekend, and police were called to investigate.
Cerro Gordo deputies responded to a report of possible gun shots fired in the Ingebretson campground, located at 203 Ash Street E. in Thornton.
A deputy spoke with some individuals staying at the campgrounds, who said they heard one shot and it came from the park area west of the campgrounds. The deputy checked that area and was unable to locate any subjects with firearms.
