Priscilla Landers, 83, of Greene, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at MercyOne-North Iowa. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 19, at First Presbyterian Church, Greene. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, at Woodley Funeral Home, Greene.
Priscilla Jane Landers was born June 3, 1942, in Charles City, to Dwight and Helen (Borchard) Pooley. She grew up in Greene, graduating from Greene High School with the class of 1959. She attended Upper Iowa University following high school.
On June 4, 1960, Priscilla was united in marriage with Earl H. Landers. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She spent many years raising and training racing greyhounds. Through this she traveled to many different places.
After her father passed away, Priscilla returned to working at the family hardware store and became the 3rd generation to own and operate. Priscilla was dedicated to the family hardware store and loved working with the Greene community. Once asked by her cousin a few years ago, “Why don’t you retire?” Her response, “What would I do then”.
Living family include her husband of 65 years: Earl Landers; sons: Brandon (Trudy) Landers, Ft. Wayne, IN; Barry (Daphne) Landers, Greene; 10 grandchildren: Tyler (Jordan) Landers; Taylor (Clayton) Hamilton; Trevor Landers; Owen Landers; Brylee Landers; Cooper Landers; Jude Landers; Ashtyn Landers; Josie Landers; Mallory Landers; great grandchildren: Beau, Hayes and baby boy #3 on the way; brother: Phillip Pooley, Hurst, TX.
Priscilla is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Richard and Alan Pooley, sons Brendt Landers and Danny in infancy.
