Mason City law enforcement officials say they are continuing to investigate the deaths of three adults discovered inside a residence at 509 S. Family members of the deceased were notified the same evening that the tragic incident occurred.

The individuals have been identified as:

Larry Gene Walker, 73, property owner of 509 S. Adams Ave., Mason City

The Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office will perform autopsies on all three individuals.

Evidence collected from the scene is being processed, and laboratory analyses are underway.

Final reports may take several weeks to complete. Determinations regarding the causes and manners of death will be released once the investigations are finalized. No additional information was released by police.

    1. Ya they are just going to blurt out those details after sending a press release that said no further details will be announced. Dam, the public is dumb.

  1. If the City hadn’t closed the homeless shelter these people would still be alive. Instead of upgrading the shelter they would rather blow it on stupid things.

  2. Is it about the property or tha 3 life’s are no longer with us and not to mention the families of the people who are gone have some cooth . Who are all of
You to judge ARE UPU ALL GOD !! it’s really no one’s job to judge how anyone lives not everyone has been brought up the same as some of you PERFECT PEOPLE OUT THERE SHAME ON YOU !!!!

  3. The tone of this story is much more appropriate than your previous attempt at news reporting on this tragedy.

    1. Agreed. Probably because he realized that one of the people that died was the child of a local deputy sheriff! Doubt he wants to call that one any names now because of who they are.

      1. Why not say all kinds of bad stuff now then? Call them Some more names? Talk more s**t about them. Like u did in the previous article? If u could care less? Probably not gonna tho. Gotta pretend to be respectful since it was a deputy’s child. Don’t act like that’s incorrect either. U totally toned it down this time. Lie all u want, but you’re transparent as a brand new window. See thru. Think you’re so far above everybody……….NEWS FLASH, YOU’RE NOT. P.O.S.

          1. Maybe on the last article. Not this one tho. WTF is it to u anyway? U his buddy? Or u him acting like a buddy of his because he probably has no friends! That’s why he’s so miserable that he has to belittle any body he can. Makes him feel better about himself, I’m quite sure.

          2. Not to mention when he says, “man the public are dumb!” Guess what, dumbass……you’re part of the “public”! U calling yourself dumb too? Because u aren’t so high up on your pedestal that u aren’t part of the “public”! Just letting u know!
