MASON CITY – For the third straight week, the NIACC women’s basketball team is ranked No. 9 in the NJCAA Divsion II poll released Monday.
NIACC (21-2 overall, 15-2 in the ICCAC) knocked off Iowa Western 68-60 on Saturday for its 11th straight win.
The Trojans have been ranked in all of 13 of the polls in the 2025-26 season. The Trojans were also No. 9 in the Jan. 27 and Feb. 2 rankings.
The only movement in the top 10 from a week ago was Illinois Central and Parkland College flipping spots at No. 5 and No. 8. Illinois Central (22-3) topped Parkland College 83-78 and moved up three spots to No. 5 while Parkland College (19-5) fell to No. 8.
Kirkwood (21-3, 15-2) is ranked No. 7. Iowa Lakes (17-7, 13-4) fell out of the poll this week after a pair of losses to Ellsworth (71-61) and DMACC (68-63).
NIACC returns to action Wednesday in an ICCAC contest at DMACC (19-6, 11-6), which has won six straight contests. Game time in Boone is slated for 5:30 p.m.
