Mason City couple nabbed after explicit photos shown off

MASON CITY – This Mason City couple seems to be on the rocks, and both found out that prancing about town and allegedly showing off dicy digitals is a real no-no, as police zeroed in and arrested them both.

According to a narrative offered to NIT via police regarding the arrest of Mason City residents, 51-year-old Christina Dodge and 55-year-old Matthew Dodge:

“At the end of August 2025, a person reported that Christina Dodge entered a local business and showed this person explicit photos of the (same) reporting party naked or undressed. The reporting party did not release or authorize Christina to possess or disseminate this electronic media. Following the in-person visit, additional texts, emails, or electronic communication were allegedly and intentionally sent to the reporting party by Christina Dodge without the recipient’s permission. This repeated contact was found to be annoying, or alarming. During this investigation, evidence surfaced that Matt Dodge had also allegedly sent or disseminated explicit photos of someone else without their knowledge or consent.”

Police told NIT that on December 17, 2025, Matthew Dodge was charged with:

• Harassment 1st Degree (sending / disseminating explicit photos of another w/o permission) an aggravated misdemeanor

They also said that on December 18, 2025, Christina Dodge was charged with:

• Harassment 1st Degree (sending / disseminating explicit photos of another w/o permission) an aggravated misdemeanor

• Harassment 3rd Degree (in-person visit + multiple electronic messages or “sexting”) a simple misdemeanor

Records indicate that both suspects have previously filed civil actions against each called a “Petition for Relief from Domestic Abuse”:

• DODGE MATTHEW ALAN filed on 07/09/2025 but dismissed by 7/23/2025 due to an alleged lack of evidence

• DODGE CHRISTINA JO filed on 01/27/2023 but she filed a motion to cancel it by 1/31/2023

Both suspects are free and awaiting future court appearances.
