CLERMONT, IOWA – This Northern Iowa man was nabbed by police after a female reported she had been assaulted by him.
On December 16, 2025, at 12:30 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a call of an assault that had occurred at 1003 Larrabee Street in the City of Clermont. When Deputies arrived, it was learned that a female was assaulted and the suspect left the scene.
After an investigation, the male, later identified as 45-year-old Matthew Wilker of Clermont, was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury (Serious Misdemeanor).
Wilker was transported to the Fayette county jail to await his initial appearance in court, and soon bonded out.
