Roger K. Musser, age 63, of Boone, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at his home after a brief battle with cancer.

Roger was born February 25, 1962, in Boone, the son of Ernest, Sr. and Betty (Staley) Musser. He worked for a number of years for Sonoco in Boone until they closed. Roger was currently working for Bauer Built in Paton.

Roger was a huge Hawkeye Fan, a devoted Trump supporter, and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He loved working on cars, taking care of his lawn and was known to be a clean freak. Roger in his younger years was a member of the Raiders slow pitch softball team of Boone and he was involved in various pool and bowling leagues.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tristan Torres; sisters, Margaret Hilsabeck and Mary Ann Musser; brothers, Ralph, Ronnie, Gary, and Ernest Musser Jr.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Tegan Musser; son, Trey (Jessica) Price; four grandchildren, Brynn and Isla Price and Sophia and Noan Torres; two brothers, Dale (Debbie) Musser and John (Sherri) Musser; nephew “more like a brother”, David (Carol Ann) Musser; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life for Roger on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Cedar Pointe Golf Course, 601 South Cedar Street, Boone, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There will be a time to share memories starting at 11:30 AM.

The Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Street is assisting the family with arrangements.
