ELGIN, IOWA – This Northern Iowa woman had a rude awakening one recent morning, when cops barged into her ramshackle apartment and found her cuddled up with meth, weed, baggies and other assorted nefariousness, leading to legal entanglements.

On September 24, 2025, at approximately 3:30 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at an apartment at 240 Center Street in Elgin, Iowa. During a search, methamphetamine, baggies, other scheduled substances, a variation of pills, and paraphernalia were found and seized.

As a result of the home raid, 40-year-old Kimberly Denise Fisher (pictured at top) of Elgin was arrested and charged with the following crimes:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine 1st Offense

  • 2 counts of Possession of other Schedule substance all serious misdemeanors

  • Interference with Official Acts

  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia both simple misdemeanors

Kim Fisher was taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail, where she awaited initial appearance.

This is the 2nd narcotics related search warrant executed where controlled substances were seized at this same location in a 6-month time period, police said.

Additionally, records show search warrants were executed on Fisher in October.
