Clear Lake police investigated an incident from last year in their community and filed a criminal complaint against 65-year-old Vicki Sue Colombo and 68-year-old John Colombo, both of Clear Lake, on October 15, 2025, on the following charge:
- PURCHASE/POSSESS DEPICTION OF MINOR IN SEX ACT IST OFFENSE, CLASS D FELONY
The offense date for Vicki Colombo’s alleged crime took place on November 24, 2024.
The offense date for John Colombo’s alleged crime took place on November 7, 2024.
The next day, a judge issued an arrest warrant for the Colombos, and they were nabbed a week later by the Cerro Gordo county sherif’s office, on October 23.
Both are held in the Cerro Gordo county jail on $5,000 cash-only bond, with appointed public defenders. A no-contact order was imposed by a judge, and a preliminary hearing is set for October 31.
