CHARLES CITY – An elderly woman driver from Rudd collided with a construction site in Charles City, police say, causing thousands in damages.

The accident took place on October 5, 2025. According to Charles City police, at about 9:24 PM, police were called to the area of Gilbert Street and Glenwood Roaad for a report of a vehicle that struck debris in the roadway. After an investigation, police determined that a blue 2021 Toyota Venza driven by 80-year-old Diane Souder of Rudd, Iowa, was traveling westbound on Gilbert Street when it struck a road construction site. The collision caused nearly $3,000 in damaged to the Toyota, police say.

It appears Souder was not cited for the collision.

Elderly is very cynical as a label for someone who hasn’t had a speeding ticket or accident in the past 50 years. City street workers left a mess so an actress evident.

I skip right over those because they happen every day in this country and I like to see what misinformation ICE or Homeland Security is spewing in the others.

Was she legal? You tend to headline every crime you can find with illegal or alien placed somewhere in it when it involves a Brown or Black person.. Maybe you should start using legal in your headlines to promote the citizen who committed a crime. That way there will be no confusion and I can skip right over the ones that don’t have illegal or alien mentioned in the headline.
