Loyce Louise Lenius was born February 26, 1946, the daughter of Theodore Henry Edward and Gertrude Ruth Eva (Cross) Lenius. She graduated from Maynard High School in 1964. On September 28, 1964, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, John Homer Bunn at Sumner, Iowa. Loyce and John farmed in the Westgate area for many years and owned and operated the Westgate Tap for 10 years. She was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maynard and a current member of Antioch Christian Church in Oelwein. Loyce enjoyed garage sales, thrift stores, Amish auctions, animals, cooking, canning, gardening, flowers, her social groups and attending her grandchildren’s events. Her love for Jesus shone brightly in all she did, and for many, she may have been the only glimpse of Him they saw. Loyce was a true light in this world, and her faith and kindness will continue to shine through the lives she touched.

Meyers, Florida; brothers-in-law: Robert (Shirley) Bunn of Maynard, and Don (Ann) Bunn of Maynard; sisters-in-law: Mary Kay Diem of Fayette, Judy Bunn of Maynard and Marj Bunn of Maynard; German foreign exchange children: Ali Keiri and Stefanie (Kohl) Mueller; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded death by her parents; husband: John on November 1, 2012; son: Randy Bunn on April 29, 2017; granddaughter: Kasey Ruth Eva Sperfslage; parents-in-law: Homer and Letha Bunn; brothers-in-law: Albert Bunn, David Bunn and Paul Bunn; and sister-in-law: Janet Bunn.
