Knife-wielding Iowa woman storms into home

BURLINGTON, IOWA – An Iowa woman armed with a knife stormed into a home but was subdued until cops arrived to deliver handcuffs.

On August 16, 2025, at approximately 5:36 PM, officers from the Burlington Police Department responded to the 600 block of Iowa Street regarding a female entering a residence armed with a knife.

When officers arrived on scene, they detained the female suspect and identified her as 36-year-old Cassandra Robinson out of Burlington, Iowa. Individuals at the residence advised that Robinson entered the residence with a knife and one of the individuals was able to restrain Robinson until officers responded to the scene.

Robinson was transported to the Des Moines County Jail and booked a charge of burglary in the first degree, a class B felony.
