RURAL BUENA VISTA COUNTY – A Northern Iowa man died and three children were hurt in an auto crash in rural Buena Vista county.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, an auto collision occurred on July 14, 2025. At 9:53 AM that morning, on County Road M-27 south of Peterson, Iowa, 37-year-old Nicholas Seaburg of Pope Joy, Iowa was driving a 2020 Subaru Outback northbound on County Road M-27 and was turning into a parking lot when he collided with a 2006 International semi driven by 69-year-old Marlon Klein of Sheldon.
As a result of the collision, a front seat passenger in the Subaru, 42-year-old Coree Keller of Popejoy, Iowa, was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene. Seaburg and three child passengers ages 5, 7, and 11, were injured and taken to area hospitals.
Marlon Klein wasn’t injured.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office.
