
OELWEIN, IOWA – Law enforcement agencies banded together to invade alleged drug-infested lairs in this Northern Iowa town, and a swath of suspects are facing charges ranging from meth, weed and cocaine possession to child endangerment.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, the Oelwein Police Department, with the assistance of the Iowa State Patrol, executed a search warrant in the 10 block of 1st Avenue NE in Oelwein. During the course of the search warrant, illegal controlled substances were located and seized. The following subjects have been arrested and charged:
1) James Martin Crawford, 65 of Oelwein
– Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd offense- Methamphetamine – Aggravated Misdemeanor
– Child Endangerment- Aggravated Misdemeanor
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

2) Christina Marie Heins, 49 of Oelwein Child Endangerment- Aggravated Misdemeanor
– Possession of Controlled Substance 1st offense- Methamphetamine – Serious Misdemeanor
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

3) Alanda Nevelle Starkey, 40 of Oelwein
– Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd offense- Methamphetamine – Class D Felony
– Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd offense- Marijuana – Class D Felony
– Child Endangerment- Aggravated Misdemeanor
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

4) Taylor Marie Johnson, 25 of Oelwein
– Child Endangerment- Aggravated Misdemeanor
– Possession of Controlled Substance 1st- Marijuana- Serious Misdemeanor
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

At approximately 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, the Oelwein Police Department, with the assistance of the Iowa State Patrol, executed an additional search warrant in the 200 block of 2nd Street SE in Oelwein. During the course of the search warrant, illegal controlled substances were located and seized. The following subjects have been arrested and charged:
1) Marissa Kay Woods, 25 of Oelwein
– Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver Cocaine – Class C Felony
– Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp- Class D Felony
– Possession of Controlled Substance 1st- Marijuana- Serious Misdemeanor
– Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drug- Serious Misdemeanor
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

2) Garrett Scott Boleman, 39 of Charles City:
– Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd offense- Marijuana – Aggravated Misdemeanor
– Interference With Official Acts- Simple Misdemeanor
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

The subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail pending an initial appearance. Additional charges are pending, and these cases are still under investigation, according to police.
