MASON CITY – Bat Woman is back behind bars this week after allegedly sowing fresh chaos and inflicting assaults upon caregivers.
Allison Elizabeth Annamarlyse Buhler, age 22, made news back in April when she wielded a bat in downtown Mason City and went totally bananas upon unsuspecting, innocent motor vehicles, smashing property and then attempting to flee cops who raced to the scene. She was arrested on a felony charge of second-degree criminal mischief and has yet to be arraigned, records show, as she was released from jail by a judge in May, under supervision.
That supervision has not gone well, as Buhler has found herself in Mercy Hospital in Mason City potentially beating on staff there. Mason City police tell NIT that on May 22, 2025, Mercy employees reported that Buhler assaulted a staff member while Buhler was seeking / receiving care there. An officer took report and applied for an arrest warrant on a charge of assault causing bodily injury, an aggravated misdemeanor. A judge reviewed and approved the warrant a couple days later.

However, the wanted Buhler (pictured at top) was back in Mercy days later, and an incident there was reported on June 9, 2025. Mercy staff reported to police that Buhler assaulted one of their staff while Buhler was being treated there. An officer took the report and applied for an arrest warrant on another charge of assault causing bodily injury, an aggravated misdemeanor. The warrant was issued by a judge.
On June 23, Buhler was arrested at Mercy on multiple warrants, and for pre-trial violations connected to her Babe Ruth impersonation in downtown Mason City. She remains held in the Cerro Gordo county jail.
