CLERMONT, IOWA – This recently-paroled felon was perched at a rural Northern Iowa watering hole when a disturbance erupted, leading to a police response and new felony charges against the suspect.
On March 1, 2025, at approximately 5:31 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a disturbance at Bad Tad’s Bar in Clermont, where a female refused to leave the establishment. A Fayette county deputy arrived at the establishment and conducted an investigation, leading to the arrest of 37-year-old Deidre Joy Lee of Oelwein, Iowa, on the following charges:
– Public Intoxication (Simple Misdemeanor)
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor)
– Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd or Subsequent Offense (D Felony)
Lee was taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail where she was held for her initial appearance.
According to records, Lee (pictured at top) was paroled from an Iowa prison on June 4, 2024. She had been sent to prison for up to 10 years in December of 2022 out of Chickasaw county for a drug crimes involving methamphetamine, charges brought by New Hampton police and Chickasaw county sheriff.
