ANITA, IOWA – Iowa Connections Academy, a tuition-free online public school, is currently enrolling students for the 2025-26 school year. Billing itself as a leading full-time virtual school, Iowa Connections Academy serves more than 1,700 students in grades K-12 across the state in partnership with the CAM Community School District.

The 2025-26 academic year will mark the Iowa Connections Academy’s second year of its successful College and Early Career Readiness program for middle and high school students. Building on last year’s foundation, this refined offering integrates traditional academic subjects with industry-leading, career-focused options like IT, business, health sciences and marketing. This program equips students with durable skills like leadership, critical thinking and teamwork. Students can participate in career exploration and industry networking opportunities to build confidence, make connections and find direction to prepare for their future.

Iowa Connections Academy is a full-time online public school, not exactly like private schools, dedicated to empowering students to achieve their full potential. Taught by state-certified educators with expertise in virtual education, the school offers a rigorous curriculum paired with personalized instruction to inspire students to take ownership of their learning and explore their passions. As a fully online education institution, the school is committed to guiding students through the exploration of their interests and toward a trajectory of success in both the virtual classroom and beyond.

“We are thrilled to welcome new students and families to Iowa Connections Academy,” said Larry Hunt, school leader of Iowa Connections Academy. “Our dedicated teachers and staff have cultivated a supportive, student-first environment designed to meet each student’s unique needs. With our expanded college and early career-readiness program, we look forward to making the 2025-26 school year another great success!”

Building on the commitment to empower students for their future, the school recently launched a Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter. As part of the world’s largest business and technical student organization, the chapter offers students opportunities to participate in national competitions and conferences, enhancing their leadership and career readiness. As an extension of the school’s existing CTE and Industry Recognized Certification (IRC) courses, which provide students with credentials valued by employers, this initiative is designed to equip students to thrive as future business leaders and make meaningful community contributions.

Iowa Connections Academy serves students from a wide range of backgrounds and educational experiences, including those excelling academically and those facing challenges such as health issues or bullying. The school’s flexible, home-based learning model provides customized pathways to help every student succeed. Additionally, the school fosters social connections through in-person field trips, online clubs, and interest-based activities, creating a supportive academic community.

Enrollment for the 2025-26 school year is now open for grades K-12. Interested families are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming online information sessions to find out if virtual school is the right fit for their students.
