CHARLES CITY – Already facing mounting fines for previous traffic stops for driving illegally, this Charles City woman is in even deeper after an arrest for drunk driving.
Police in Charles City conducted a traffic stop at 1:33 AM on February 10, 2025, in the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue. As a result of the stop and investigation, the 24-year-old driver, Linda Katheryn Williams of Charles City, was arrested on the following charges:
– OPERATING WHILE INTOXICATED (1ST OFFENSE)
– DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED
– FAILURE TO PROVE SECURITY AGAINST LIABILITY
– NO SR-22 INSURANCE
Williams was taken to jail, processed, and submitted 10% of $1,000 bond for release. She now awaits a hearing set for the morning of February 26.
Williams is a serial-offender of traffic crimes. She was busted in October of 2023 in Floyd county for driving while suspended, and it cost her $140.50. Then she was nabbed in March and November of 2024 in Bremer county for driving while suspended, and it cost her $347.50 – both times. She is awaiting ttrial in Floyd county for yet another charge of driving while suspended from October of 2024.
