FREMONT COUNT – An Iowa man accused of sexual abuse of a child and wanted on a warrant since 2022 was finally nabbed by cops.

On May 22, 2024, deputies in Fremont county, Iowa, arrested 59-year-old Patrick Michael Neal of Hamburg, Iowa, for third-degree sexual abuse (related by blood) and lascivious acts with a child. The crimes were allegedly committed in 2016. Neal is being held on a $35,000 cash/surety bond in a jail.

An arrest warrant for Neal had been issued back in December of 2022 in connection to this case. He’s been appointed a public defender by a judge.

Back in 2019, Neal was accused of a swath of sex crimes he allegedly committed between 2010 and 2019, but all of them were dismissed, except one count of lascivious acts with a child. He was sentenced to up to 10 years in a state prison.
